Google's Notebook
Not sure if you've heard about this but I just found it... Google has this notebook thingie and you can clip stuff and save it to a notbook.
www.google.com/notebook
I've been looking for a way to keep track of what I download, and then if I end up keeping it. I find files on my computer and I have no idea where they have come from... I have tried using AZZ Cardfile for this, and as much as I love that program, well I never kept up with it... you had to remember to open the program... click copy, click paste... just never stuck with it. Well the notebook, can sit at the bottom of your browser window... (or it does in Firefox... your using Firefox right?) and so far it's easy! I might just share when I'm done... but if your interested in what I use pop me an email and I'll share friend by friend.

OpenOffice.org Wiki
Just ran across a wiki site for OpenOffice.org... one of the issues I have with OOo is that it's hard to find what you looking for for help. I don't know why help has to be sooo difficult for everything opensource. I have the same issue with Drupal. It's impossible to find anything without a ton of searching. It's kind of like spelling. When you can't spell a word how do you look something up in the dictionary.
Anyway I found a wiki for OpenOffice.org, I'm not even sure if it's being used... looks like it might be by developers but there is a place for help, but nothing much has been done there yet. I guess I need to understand how a Wiki works... but anyway what I was looking for was how to replace a blank or empty line. I figured it out searching and searching and actually ended up finding it in the help files... but again not easy.
Here is a howto:
^$ = will find a blank line
To remove blank lines, search for ^$ and replace with nothing, and select replace all. Make sure to check Regular expressions under more options.
Step by step:
Click: Edit>Find & Replace
Type: ^$ in Search for
(leave Replace with blank)
Click: More Options
check "Regular expressions"
Click: Replace All
Bam! all the blank lines are gone.
Anywho... here is the link to the Wiki... again with nothing much there ;-)

Moon Illumination Calendar
Had found this a really long time ago... and then lost it, found it again today so thought not only would I be able to find it if I blogged about it, but others might dig it too
Fraction Table
You can create a table that will show the fraction of the Moon's visibility. I like to do 0 as the Dark Moon and then a tint of illumination as a New Moon.
If you think about it, nobody would have been going... oooohhhh look it's a New Moon when it was still dark, they would have been going... ut oh, the Moons disappeared.
Anyway have fun!
